Common App Essay Package
With just 6 hours of tutoring, your child can complete their Common App essay!
What does the tutoring look like?
Your child will meet with their tutor for online sessions, and they’ll also do independent writing and editing work in Google Docs. The meeting time and content will be based on your child’s needs and progress. Some students might want meet weekly, while others might want to meet once, go back and forth in Docs, and then meet again for final edits.
How do I know if 6 hours is enough for my child? Or too much?
Give us a call, and one of our directors will help you decide.
For example, if your child has already written a draft of the Common App essay that they feel pretty good about, they may just need a couple of hours working with a tutor. In that case, our regular tutoring rates will be a better fit for you.
When is the best time to do this work?
We prefer working on college app essays during the summer. Once senior year starts, it can be challenging for students to find the time needed to craft a strong essay. If your child wants to meet the November app deadlines, this is especially true!
That said, this package is available until December 31, 2026.
What do I need to know about payment?
- The cost is $560 for the 6 hours.
- The 6 hours include online meetings and the time your tutor spends providing feedback outside of the meetings.
- The $560 payment will be billed in one lump sum. You’ll receive an invoice at the beginning of the month immediately following the month your child is matched.
- The purchased time will expire if not used by December 31, 2026.
- Unused time will not be refunded. If your child finishes their Common App essay before using the 6 hours, they may use the leftover time to work on supplemental essays (up to December 31, 2026).
- If your child wants to continue meeting with their tutor after they’ve used the purchased 6 hours, we’ll charge our regular rates.
