Aspire Test
What is the Aspire?
The Aspire is an achievement test made by the ACT. Some schools use this as their yearly achievement test that students take in the spring.
Additionally, sometimes public high schools ask eighth graders to take the Aspire for class placement. In this case, individual school districts determine exact dates, but the Aspire is generally taken between October and January.
What makes this test tough?
- This test covers a variety of content in English, math, reading and science, and includes written responses
- There are a lot of word problems
- Proportions, percents and basic geometry are tested
- The test is generally given online, which can be a challenge for some students
