We will lay out the four domains of executive functioning, and discuss why those skills are so important for students. We’ll describe the variety of ways you can help your children improve their time management, study skills, and organization.

Nurturing Persistence in Learners

Utilizing research done by Carol Dweck for her book Mindset, we’ll discuss the benefits of a “growth mindset” as well as “fixed mindset” how you can encourage your children to pursue challenges and view mistakes as opportunities for growth.

The Junior Year or High School Entrance Test Process

We’ll discuss the ins and outs of the testing process, including when to get started with prep, how each test is different, how to choose the right test for your child, and how to manage anxiety in high-pressure situations.

Building Routines for Academic Success

We’ll provide you with practical tools and tips for how to help your children establish good academic habits. We’ll discuss how to strike a balance between being supportive and over-helping, and how to develop a positive relationship with your children around homework.
