What is Nurturing Wisdom Academy?

Nurturing Wisdom Academy is a small, private school for students in grades 3-8 located in Hinsdale, IL, in the former Zion Lutheran School. We designed our school to be smaller so that we can customize to the needs of each student that we teach.

How long is the school day and school year?

Our school day runs from 8:15-4:15. It’s a little longer than the average school day, but our students don’t take home any homework.  Our school year begins around August 20th and continues through mid-June.  We also offer an optional four-week summer term.

Who can attend Nurturing Wisdom Academy?

Nurturing Wisdom Academy is geared towards intellectually curious students who will thrive in an environment with very low student to teacher ratios, customized learning, and time to pursue projects and passions. We are open to students of many ability levels:  gifted students, twice exceptional students, students with learning disabilities, students who are bored or frustrated in a traditional setting, and students who want more after school time for sports and activities that they are passionate about.
